Valuing the Aura of Sensitivity, as We Treat Others and Ourselves (Nusrat)
Sensitivity unveils the hidden beauty that lies beneath the surface—a world where a single smile can brighten a weary soul, a gentle touch can mend shattered hearts, and a listening ear can breathe life into silenced voices. Sensitivity teaches us that true strength lies not in domination, but in the ability to perceive the needs of others and respond with love. For sensitivity is not a weakness to be shunned, but a wellspring of resilience and healing yourself and others around you. Sometimes dealing with sensitively with yourself sensitively is another process of self-healing.
Our vintage home: Sensitivity is not a new concept it is an old remedy that heals any problems, and it began when we were in the womb of our mother. As her womb cradled the promise of a new life. From the depths of her being, she embraces the journey, tenderly nurturing the tiny being growing within her.
As the moment arrives, a symphony of emotions swells within her, blending awe, and joy, with a touch of softness. With trembling hands, she gently brings forth her child into this vast world, a perfect demonstration of her boundless sensitivity. As the first cry pierces the air, her heart swells with a love so profound, it feels as if her very soul has intertwined with her newborn and that’s where sensitivity bells among a mother and her child.
With a low whisper of a breeze, she kisses away the tears of discomfort that may trickle down her baby's cheeks. In that gentle caressing period, it carries a healing power of sensitivity, a magical balm that soothes the soul and eases any irritation. The baby's cries soften, replaced by a peaceful calm, knowing that love, sensitivity and tenderness will always be there to embrace them.
Let’s visualize and explore sensitivity from different perspectives as we calm ourselves slowly…
The sensitivity found in flower petals: When we turn our gaze to a delicate flower, our eyes meet the embodiment of sensitivity itself. Its petals unfurl like the wings of a butterfly, enchanting us with their vibrant colours and intoxicating fragrances. In its presence, a transformation occurs—a subtle shift where personal sorrows and battles dissipate, brushed away by the tender touch of sensitivity.
In this wondrous life, sensitivity weaves its threads, binding us together in a shared experience of compassion and understanding. It whispers to us in the quiet moments, reminding us to be present, to open our hearts, and to embrace the beauty, that lies within ourselves and others. For in the embrace of sensitivity, we find solace, connection, and the power to heal the world.
Wires of sensitivity, that we felt in our childhood: As we cast our gaze upon the magical cotton candies, our hearts are transported back to the enchanting days of our childhood, where the sweetness of pink joy danced upon our tongues, the sweetness that melted in our first bite, the sensitive cloud of sugary dreams, sways into a sweet symphony of our childhood flavours.
The bursting red, yellow balloons around markets: The vibrant hues of red, blue, and yellow, adorning the balloons in the shop, serve as a portal to those sensitive and innocent moments, when the world seemed both tiny and breathtakingly dreamy; as you witness a baby, nestled upon their mother's lap, their tiny mouth stretching wide in a yawn, a symphony of innocence and vulnerability takes place in your crowed heart.
A young girl tucking a flower in her hair: As delicate as a whispered secret, Gypsophila, with its soothing aura, finds its place nestled within the braided tresses of a young girl. Each bloom becomes a gentle reminder of the beauty that lies in embracing sensitivity. The buds, like dainty pearls, delicately adorn her hair, bestowing a sense of peace and healing upon her very being. With each step a girl smiles and giggles at the world, the Gypsophila's ethereal petals sway in harmony, like a chorus of whispered lullabies. Its presence is an invitation to a world where sensitivity becomes a source of empowerment, where vulnerability transforms into resilience, and where even the most delicate souls can radiate strength. When the Gypsophila is woven into a young girl’s hair braids, the girl becomes a living embodiment of sensitivity, radiating an aura that captivates those she encounters. Like a muse of emotions, she inspires others to embrace their tender depths, encouraging them to see sensitivity as a wellspring of beauty and strength.
It is equally vital to treat ourselves with this same tenderness as we treat others. It involves accepting our emotional landscape, understanding our triggers, and practising self-compassion without any judgment. Nurturing our sensitivity becomes an act of self-care, cultivating resilience while acknowledging our vulnerabilities. Nevertheless, embracing and respecting the aura of sensitivity is our duty that may have a substantial influence on our mental health on a larger scale. On the other hand, understanding and recognising sensitivity as a strength rather than a weakness might pave the way for a more compassionate and sympathetic society as we negotiate the complexity of today’s modern world. We should create settings where others feel seen, heard, and treated with respect while simultaneously also being two steps sensitive and warmer when it comes to treating ourselves as well.
A thought-evoking question for you all.
Why don’t we get more sensitive when it comes to taking care of our mental health, just like when we cut ourselves accidentally, and look for a bandage or an antiseptic balm immediately?
