The Fall Internship will start on September 9, 2024 and run through December 22, 2024.

Internship Description

We believe in our interns. We believe that they are creative and capable. They are kind and genuine. They are here because they want to learn and grow. They want to make a difference; they just need the space and guidance to do so.

So that is what we provide during our internship: 15 weeks of creativity, collaboration, interactive hands-on experience where interns get to drive the projects which directly impact our international nonprofit. All while doing it from the comfort of their own home.

A LAD internship is a program that runs 150 hours over 15 weeks.

Come behind the scenes of an actively growing international nonprofit. Our goal is to provide interns with a full scope of real responsibilities which introduce them to the professional world. We provide opportunities to cultivate skills which our interns can use to build upon in their professional careers. These skills include communication, professional and technical writing/grant writing, networking, social media and editing skills, data analysis, community outreach, fundraising, collaboration and time management.

All Interns will be responsible for working in conjunction with other interns to complete projects aimed towards LAD’s expansion and help us hit our annual goals. LAD provides a welcoming and friendly environment where the intern will have autonomy to work on individual projects, gain mentoring from professionals, and work directly with current Board Members.

  • This is an unpaid, fully remote position.

  • Preference will be given to those students and workers who need credit over those just looking to volunteer more for LAD.

  • You will need access to your own computer, google account, and the internet.

  • You will have to be available for team meetings - times to be determined.

  • Volunteers from any country can apply, we will work with your time zone.

  • Volunteers from any age range can apply - this is not just for students. This internship is for anyone who is interested in learning, growing, and trying new things.

What is a Letters Against Depression internship?

How the 150 hours are allocated will be determined by the goals and objectives for each term. We also reserve a block of hours for interns to explore their own interests and dig deeper into identified aspects of nonprofit work. We review this during your mentoring meeting.
