A Season of Blue (Ciera)
Blue.
Often felt in January, referring to the tumbling jumble of feelings felt by the pressure of a new year beginning. The seemingly endless blank canvas of time stretching forward that causes you to want to bury yourself until the year stops rearing such a daunting head.
Blue.
The days you spend in a spiral of fear and rain. Unsure on what day you will leave your bed again, comfortable and uncomfortable in its familiarity.
Blue.
These feelings you cannot describe or navigate, their weight an intangible downpour.
But, blue.
A brand new sky opening up from behind your window, beckoning to remind you there’s more to come. A reflecting sea, an ocean of cool cool water to wash over you and bring tingles throughout your body, even when you question if you can never feel again.
Blue.
The colour of your phone case, your coffee cup, your favourite summer flower. The ink spilling from your pen between the lines of a book yet to be filled.
A passing car, a sparkling light, a t-shirt in your drawer.
Blue.
Is all around you and appears in many forms. So even on your hard days, remember there can still be good in blue.
